Well, well, well… look who just walked back into the group chat.
After a quiet disappearance that left many fashion lovers asking “wait… what happened to 11 Honoré?”, the pioneering luxury plus fashion platform is officially making its return. And this time, this 11 Honoré relaunch is doing so with a fresh perspective, a new creative direction, and a Spring–Summer capsule designed to remind the industry exactly why this brand mattered in the first place.
And in true fashion industry fashion, the brand chose to make its return with an exclusive reveal in WWD, signaling that this relaunch is meant to be taken seriously in luxury retail circles.
If you know, you know. But if you are new here, let’s get into the tea.
A Quick Refresher: When 11 Honoré Changed the Game
When 11 Honoré launched in 2017, it did something the luxury fashion industry had largely refused to do: take plus size fashion seriously at the designer level.
Founded by Patrick Herning, the platform curated luxury designers and made them available in extended sizes. For the first time, plus shoppers could access brands like Carolina Herrera, Prabal Gurung, and Jason Wu without begging fashion houses for crumbs.
This was not fast fashion.
This was not a forgotten plus tab hidden at the bottom of a department store website.
This was luxury fashion, editorial storytelling, and designer access built specifically for plus bodies.
And for many in the community, it felt revolutionary.
The Dia & Co Chapter
In 2022, 11 Honoré was acquired by Dia & Co, the inclusive fashion platform founded by Nadia Boujarwah and Lydia Gilbert. The move was positioned as a powerful step toward building a broader ecosystem for plus shoppers.
At the time, Boujarwah shared the vision behind the acquisition:
“Our announcement today represents an enormous leap forward in our mission to deliver true style freedom for our community. In my two decades as a plus size shopper, the promise of being able to joyfully shop the brands I love for everything from $25 T-shirts to $2,500 dresses… made to fit my body, seamlessly in one place, has been the ultimate dream.”
Patrick Herning echoed the collaborative ambition behind the partnership:
“The commonality between 11 Honoré and Dia & Co is an ethos of partnership… Both companies lead the charge helping straight sized brands enter the plus size space impactfully.”
The goal was simple: combine Dia & Co’s inclusive retail infrastructure with 11 Honoré’s luxury positioning to create a powerful destination for sizes 10–32.
But then the industry shifted.
When FullBeauty Entered the Chat
In 2023, Dia & Co was acquired by FullBeauty Brands, the retail group behind legacy plus retailers like Woman Within and Roaman’s. After that acquisition, the standalone presence of 11 Honoré quietly faded from view.
No new collections.
No platform updates.
No fresh drops.
For a brand that once symbolized the future of luxury plus fashion, the silence was noticeable.
Until now.
The Revival: 11 Honoré Returns With a New Capsule
Fast forward to today and the 11 Honoré relaunch debuts a Spring–Summer capsule collection that signals a new chapter for the brand, starring actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
The relaunch arrives with a 15-piece eveningwear-focused collection designed in-house by creative director Yesenia Torres (that you know from Eloquii), bringing a refined, fashion-forward approach to plus occasion dressing.
Translation: this drop is about serving looks.
The collection centers around elevated evening and event-ready pieces that many plus shoppers have historically struggled to find. Think:
• Dramatic gowns
• Structured tailoring
• Statement silhouettes
• Modern formalwear
• Elevated fabrics and finishes
In other words, the kind of pieces you wear when you want the room to turn its head.
What’s New This Time Around
The 11 Honoré relaunch is not simply repeating its original formula. The new approach appears to be more focused, more intentional, and more product-driven.
Here’s what stands out in this new iteration:
A Focused Collection Strategy
Rather than operating as a multi-brand luxury marketplace, the relaunch begins with an in-house capsule collection. This gives the brand tighter control over fit, production, and storytelling.
And frankly? That may be a smarter business move in today’s retail climate.
Event-Driven Fashion
This debut drop leans heavily into occasionwear and evening fashion, an area where plus consumers are consistently underserved.
Weddings. Galas. Red carpets. Formal events.
Plus shoppers deserve fashion drama too.
Modern Plus Sizing
The collection is designed specifically for plus bodies, with sizing focused on extended ranges that center plus consumers rather than treating them as an afterthought, up through a size 28.
And if the industry has learned anything over the past decade, it’s this: fit matters.
Elevated Styling
The new collection leans into sleek, modern styling with sculptural silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and fashion-forward shapes designed to bring high-fashion energy to plus wardrobes.
This is not about playing it safe.
This is about serving fashion.
Why This Comeback Matters
Let’s be real for a moment.
The plus fashion industry has seen plenty of brands come and go. But 11 Honoré represented something bigger than just another retailer.
It represented access.
Access to designers.
Access to fashion fantasy.
Access to luxury spaces that historically excluded plus bodies.
When it launched, it sent a clear message to the industry:
Plus size shoppers are not just looking for basics. We want fashion. We want designers. We want luxury.
And now, with its return, 11 Honoré has another opportunity to prove something equally important.
That the demand for luxury plus fashion did not disappear.
It was simply waiting for the right brands to show up again.
The Big Question: What Happens Next?
The Spring–Summer capsule is just the beginning.
What will determine the success of this revival is whether 11 Honoré can build a sustainable model for luxury plus fashion in an industry that still has a lot of catching up to do.
Will we see more designer collaborations?
More capsule drops?
More luxury storytelling for plus consumers?
One thing is certain:
The plus fashion community is watching.
And if this comeback delivers the fashion moment it promises, 11 Honoré might just reclaim its seat at the luxury table.
This time, hopefully for good.
