Founded in 2009 in Aachen, Germany by Zahir Dehnadi and Bahman Nedaei, Navabi set out to bring premium, trend-led, designer fashion to plus size women, a market it saw as underserved by utilitarian options. Operating as an online marketplace across more than 30 countries, it carries hundreds of third-party plus size designer labels (such as Anna Scholz and Manon Baptiste) alongside its own exclusive brand, in sizes 12 to 30. In 2021 it was acquired by Australia’s City Chic Collective to anchor its European expansion.
